Plan next steps
Create one lesson plan and send one SpeechLP homework assignment from what progress just told you.
Goal
Leave every review with exactly one plan for the next session and one homework assignment in the family's SpeechLP app. Two tools, two needs — lesson plan for the session, SpeechLP homework for home.
Before you start
Decide the need: next-session structure → Lesson Plans; home drills for the family app → SpeechLP homework (client profile → Send home practice). One need, one tool.
Steps
- Lesson plan: Lesson Plans → New plan → Start blank or AI draft. Set Client (required —
Pick a client for this planotherwise), Session date, Session length, Instructions. Sections: warm-up, materials, activities, cues, wrap-up, Note for parents, Carryover. Footer Status moves Draft → Ready → Used; wait for All changes saved (not Unsaved changes). Use Open in Live Session (/dashboard/sessions/new) when it is time, or Browse templates → Use template → set Client + date → Create and edit. - SpeechLP homework: on the client profile click Send home practice. Connect the family first if needed (step 1, share the 6-character connection code or copy the Caregiver approval link), pick Target sounds & positions, blends, and difficulty filters (step 2), then Assign home practice (step 3). Confirm the Active Homework Assignment block appears on the client card. Each assignment replaces the last — one active homework per child.
- Link it forward: put the plan date on the Schedule (Open calendar), and paste Carryover + Note for parents into the next session setup. Ideas suggests from goals and recent sessions;
No ideas to showmeans too little history — add sessions first. - Print only what the family needs: Print day / Print for the session sheet. Full exports (PDF/Word) live on assessment reports, not lesson plans.
Troubleshooting
